Starting rate per person all inclusive

Rameswaram, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage locations, is regarded as one of the holiest places for Hindus in India. It is also the location closest to Sri Lanka from India. According to geological evidence, the Rama Sethu bridge originally connected this location to Sri Lanka. Since the beginning of time, tourists have been drawn to and admired this small hamlet. On his way back from his battle with Ravana, it is said that Lord Rama prayed to Lord Shiva in order to atone for the sins he had to commit during the conflict. According to one interpretation, the idol in the temple, the Shiv Linga, was constructed as a result of his worship. According to a different story, the Shiv Linga was constructed before his journey to Lanka. The temple and the legends around it, however, have contributed to the town's attractiveness.

Ramanathaswamy Temple

The Ramanathaswamy Temple is one of Rameshwaram's most popular tourist attractions. The Ramaathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a well-known Hindu shrine known for its historical significance and 22 pious wells known as 'theerthams,' where one can take a bath to atone for their sins. The temple has a mind-boggling architecture with majestic towers, vast corridors, and a unique structure that draws tourists from all walks of life, sprawling over an area of about 15 acres of land. This temple, like many others in South India, is surrounded by massive walls on all four sides. The temple is open from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the morning and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the evening.

Jada Tirtham

'Jada Tirtham' is another attraction in Rameshwaram. Jada Tirtham, located on the way to Dhanushkodi, is a large water tank surrounded by lush green trees and has its own mythological significance among Lord Rama devotees. Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana are said to have visited this location to worship Lord Shiva after killing Ravana. They washed their hair (Jada) in this pond before doing so. This act was performed to cleanse them of any sins they may have committed during the war. Since that time, the temple has been known as Jada Tirtham. There is no admission fee to visit Jada Tirtham in Rameswaram, and it opens at 6:00 a.m.

Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge (Pamban Bridge)

The 'Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge' is the next stop on the 1 Day Rameshwaram tour Package. The Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge, also known as the 'Pamban Bridge,' is a double-leaf drawbridge that connects the town to India's main island. It is surrounded by blue waters on all sides. This engineering marvel, inaugurated by the late Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, is India's second longest sea bridge after the 'Bandra-Worli Sea Link.' The Pamban Bridge was built in 1914 and took nearly 14 years to complete. It is 2.345 kilometres long and has 143 pillars that support the bridge's structure.Visit the bridge early in the morning for a breathtaking view of the sunrise. If you don't like getting up early, you can go in the evening to watch the sunset. It is without a doubt one of the most spectacular bridges in the world, and it is an excellent location for taking truly stunning photographs.

Ariyaman Beach

On your 1 day tour to Rameshwaram, enjoy a mix of sun, sea, and sand at Ariyaman Beach. Also known as Kushi Beach, is a lovely place to relax in peaceful surroundings. It is only 11 kilometres from the town centre. The beach, which is surrounded by luxuriant green vegetation, calm, gentle waves, clear seas, and a lengthy stretch of white sand, offers visitors a lovely experience to pique their curiosity. After splashing around in the pool, relax on the sun loungers, unwind beneath the umbrellas, or just take a seat. Visitors have a wide range of possibilities for entertainment thanks to the play area for kids and the variety of water sports available to adults, including boating, windsurfing, and parasailing.

Dhanushkodi

The 1964 cyclone entirely destroyed Dhanushkodi, the island's southern most point. This is an 18 kilometer long by 1 kilometer wide stretch of land on the eastern side of the island of Rameswaram. The waters of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean are located on opposite sides of each other. The land strip has the appearance of an arrow waiting to be released, while the two seas, also known as Ratnakaran and Mahodadhi, are fashioned like a bow at their confluence. The Adi Sethu, also known as the arrow head, is revered by devout Hindus as a hallowed site for religious ceremonies. Its picturesque splendor and abundant birdlife make it a destination worth seeing.
